PRODUCT ALERTS AND INFORMATION

February 11, 2026 – PRODUCT QUALITY ALERT– Large 14oz Jars

We’ve discovered that some of our Large 14oz jars of cookie dough have recently been found to have a burnt taste and smell. Please read the following alert for more information…
We’ve concluded the impact to be the result of a defective set of lids, and more specifically the liners inside them. The liners are sealed to the jars through heat induction. While we’ve not changed the sealing process we’ve been using for years, this recent batch of liners has had some overheat. This overheating has led to a burnt smell and taste being imparted into the surface of the dough.
We’ve not seen this issue repeat in our Small 5oz and Medium 10oz jars, which use a different style of liner. A such, we believe the issue is isolated to the Large jars and the current stock of lids. We are doing extra quality checks to be 100% certain.
While it’s not a safety concern, this issue has made some of our dough taste, quite honestly, horrible. We’re devastated that some of it has been sold to our customers. If you’ve recently purchased or received a Large jar of cookie dough from us that has been affected by this issue, please accept our deepest apology, and give us the chance to make it right by contacting us at support@3rdspoon.com.
As a small family-owned business, we know trust is everything when it comes to serving you. Please be assured that we’re using this opportunity to improve and do better, and that we will always be up front with you when we fall short of our standards to bring you the best no-bake cookie dough we can.
Sincerely,
Alex & Heather

August 25, 2023PRODUCT RECALL – Snickerdoodle Edible Cookie Dough

We have found that some jars of Snickerdoodle are spoiling before their best by dates.  Signs of spoilage include dryness, discoloration, and mold.  We believe we have traced the source of the issue to a specific ingredient.  The ingredient has been removed from and replaced in our inventory.  At this time, we do not believe there to be a significant risk of illness if consumed, and that it’s mostly a quality concern.

We are offering a refund or exchange for all jars of Snickerdoodle with the following “best by” dates and batch numbers.  These numbers can be found on the bottom right corner of the back product label.
